Thank you for this introduction and for making the http://wikimedia.in/wiki/Projects:GLAM_2011 coordination pages Arun. Also thank you Bishakha for your earlier introduction.

As described, I have been invited to speak at a conference in Delhi and thought it would be a good opportunity to visit also Mumbai and Bangalore and see if there was anything I could do to help the local Wikimedia communities in these cities to generate some prodictive relationships with local cultural organisations.

For Mumbai and Bangalore I think it would be best to have (potentially) a couple of meetings - one with just wikimedians (with dinner?) where we can plan and talk about what you can/would like to achieve. And then a second meeting which includes any GLAM representatives wo would like to meet us so we can all talk together. If there is time/interest afterwards, it might also be possible to visit some specific institutions directly.

For Delhi, I have a bit less time because I will be speaking at the ICLAM conference on both the 15th and 16th. Therefore, possibly the best time to do things in Delhi would be dinner on the 16th(?) and maybe a meeting on the 17th?

In any case, you do not need me to be present, of course, to start making collaboration projects with local cultural organisations but I hope that I can be a catalyst!

So, if you are interested in being involved in GLAM outreach and can come to some event At any of these cities, please add your name at the relevant place and help organise a meetup.

I look forward to meeting you all next month,
Sincerely,
-Liam
