But google has pretty good search. What do we do that google mandates?
I think if google started mandating things people didn't like, a new
search engine would come around pretty quickly. Yahoo and MSN aren't
drastically worse now even.
Searching is not a commodity yet, I don't see why Wiki[m|p]edia should
spend a huge amount of time on it, it's a pretty serious non-core
problem imo. Our search is plenty good for people to find the article
on monkeys, let's let google worry about diacritical marks, word
stemming, pagerank etc.
