To clarify: I'm using 'original research' in Wikipedia's sense here,
not the actual logical one.  The conclusions drawn in a general
article are unlikely to be original.  They are, however, likely to be
based on the beliefs of the author and informed by the general
consensus in the field, which can be awfully hard to pin down in good
references.
