place, as far as I'm aware, on various official mailing lists operated
by Wikimedia.

Wikimedia is the company that runs Wikipedia.   You want them to stop
talking about their business?  Sorry, no.  You want them to tell the
whole world everything they're thinking about doing? Sorry, no.
