Exactly. Notability is determined by a set of standards that people  
have adopted. Yes, virtually everybody accepts that Nobel laureates  
are notable. But it's still notable because people want to read  
articles about it.

Which is, in fact, "I like it." It's just that everybody likes Gandhi.
