Hmm, for those reasons maybe  Wikipedia should have comprehensive
coverage of the  subject.


Of course, but there are always extremes that have to be addressed.  Here are

Comprehsive coverage is good as long as it doesn't go into excessive  detail. 
However, it needs to be organized and consolidated in a way that is  logical 
and optimal for a real world-perspective encyclopedia, not a star  wars 
database. Consequently, out-of-universe ("real world") information is  required for 
this (and many other) reasons.
