Wow!  Dangerous and subversive, encouraging people to check through

I don't understand what's so damning about encouraging editors to
check through the AFD list at large--maybe I'm misreading your tone
(always possible in e-mail), and you could elaborate on the dangers of
encouraging editors to check the AfD list?
