To my knowledge, no Olympic athlete's article has been deleted via AfD.  And
there have been some attempts, on some of the more obscure Olympians.  See <a
href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Articles_for_deletion/Lecomte">WP:AFD/Lecomte</a>,
<a
href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Articles_for_deletion/Albert_Baumann">WP:AFD/Albert
Baumann</a>, and <a
href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Articles_for_deletion/Christine_Robinson">WP:AFD/Christine
Robinson</a> as a few examples of what happens when articles about Olympians get
nominated for deletion.
