No, I'm really glad he posted this to wikien-1. That way he'll not just 
get sympathetic input from the like minded, but he'll get a spectrum of 
views, which will ensure his editing is truly NPOV. I salute jayig for 
doing this. Wikipedia at its neutral best.

This decision is so much better than if he'd, say, intended to post it 
to a single-issue mailing list of editors who share his outlook - 
because that would truly be deplorable canvasing.
