Right. Life is not a Hollywood movie with an omniscient
screenwriter who makes sure the hero always knows what's going on.
In real life, there are few to no mechanisms which automatically,
immediately notify you of everything you might care about.

And for anybody who hasn't figured it out: it's likely that the
reason the resolution was passed was that the Foundation found
out, 'way back in July, that Doran had these issues and that
she couldn't therefore remain COO. But there are evidently some
really crazy laws and legal precedents (I've encountered them
myself) which drastically restrict what you can say publicly
about employment termination decisions.
