Well, no. They will have the same access *to current material*; they
won't have access to material from two years ago.

According to David upthread, the archives (beyond the "recent past")
of arbcom-l are very rarely used in practice.

...which is fine, it's sensible, and no-one is saying that shouldn't
happen. But the difference is that the only people who have access to
these are the people who'd been involved in the discussions; access
isn't handed out to people who come along years later.
