An article that you first wrote? You can take the version that
you first wrote and do anything you like with it, certainly.

Your impression is quite incorrect! There's no way that WP could
take away your rights like that. (If you wrote a work-for-hire,
or contracted with a publisher to publish your own copyrighted
work, your contract might have an exclusivity clause which
restricted your ability to republish the material elsewhere,
but Wikipedia has no such contract with any of its editors.)

(I'd add a comment there myself, but I don't have a Citizendium
