And it seems that you are making assertions with absolutely no facts to
back them up.

No, powerful people are *not* given more deference.  If anything, people
who are *not* powerful are given more deference.

If you want to be angry just for the sake of being angry, I can't stop
you, but what I can do is stop responding to comments like this.
