Your IMG/ALT code produces double vision for users who don't use the images:
$ lynx http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bus_stop

P.S., Often one must have to click a link to find out what some
acronym is all about. E.g., ASBO on
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Closed-circuit_television. But we might
already be offline so can't click.

This 'star of life' is confusing for non image using users:
