IIRC, the idea was to keep to the 1000 basic words at
<http://simple.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:List_of_1000_basic_words>.
"Recent" isn't one of them, but "new" is.

Three new admins were made last month, so if you suggest changes to
the navigation at
http://simple.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Simple_talk someone should
be able to implement your suggestions.
