It's reported as a bug - http://bugzilla.wikimedia.org/show_bug.cgi?id=2647

AIUI - it's not actually frozen, it's just not showing entries after a
certain cutoff point (around noon UTC). If you were to edit one of
those articles and reload the watchlist, it'd "disappear" - because
the pre-noon edit wasn't the most recent one any more.
