Not quite.   http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:Log/block records the
following:
 
*    22:11, 2 Jan 2005 AndyL unblocked User:#13822 (block was for 24hrs)

I believe the time is about 20 minutes before your mention of the block not
expiring on email and more than half an hour before your claim above. Care
to apologise?
