Ummm ... do you have difficulty with people being treated more leniently if 
they quietly accept what is handed down to them?  I don't see us as really 
having a punitive regime, at the ArbCom level (I'm not discussing admin 
actions - with 700 admins you'll get some things that are regrettable).  All 
this judicial language is founded on assumptions that are hard to defend - 
there is certainly no right to edit a collaborative website, and punishment 
takes the form of exclusion only from the heavy work of building the site.
