Yes. If for no other reason than the issue that requiring people to read
through Stormfront pages to review Wikipedian administrative decisions is
not a good thing.

But even if he had called someone a "vampire rodent" (wtf?) etc. inside
Wikipedia I still don't think an immediate permanent ban would have been
the right remedy.
