Our self-professed libertarian friend is remarkable for his
inconsistencies. At one mement he appears to be carrying a battle
against the ignorance of the American right, and blaming Americans for
not seeing or understanding what is going on in their own country.
Then, scarcely pausing for breath, he makes pronouncements about India
that would make an American extremist proud if it were said about his
own country. His attitudes about his own India appear to parallel those
same attitudes that he would consider ignorant if said by an American
about his country. This is hardly a strong basis for claiming a
superior intellect. There are stories in the Gospels (beam in the eye,
throwing the first stone) that deal with these situations, but it would
not be appropriate for an effectively atheist individual to be invoking
Christian sources.

There we have it. That point has been superbly exhibited.

You mean it isn't being run by the Congress Party?

Of course, locally two Indians are on trial for the bombing of an Air
India passenger plane off the coast of Ireland, and for another bomb
that killed two baggage handlers at Narita Airport in Japan. These two
defendants are not Muslims.

It's unfortunate that the reforms of Indian religion undertaken by
Gotama were not a complete success.
