Ugh. In my opinion this is a bad idea. The way I was thinking about the
committees is that they'd be chosen more or less at random on a regular
basis from a pool of volunteers. The terms could run something like 3
months and no one would serve more than once on a given board in a 12-month
period. I think that as long as we've got boards for this sort of thing,
there ought to be a little more variety in them. All we have to do is limit
volunteers to people who have been active for 6+ months or something, and
we automatically weed out people who aren't really interested.
