Kurze Einleitung:

Meine Anfrage vom 16.07.2006 15:57

Dear People from the Firebird Foundation,

Firebird is under IPDL (Initial Developer's PUBLIC LICENSE
    <http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/IDPL>), that's clear.

But under which licence are screenshoots from firebird? Because the
IDPL is only for source code and not for picture.

Now the reason why I ask:
    We have on
    http://de.wikibooks.org/wiki/Programmieren_mit_dBASE_PLUS:_BDE-/ODBC-Verbindungen_einrichten
2 screenshoots from Firebird and we don't know under which licence
    we can use them.

    Hello Michael,

I don't think the question of screenshots has ever been addressed -
nobody has ever asked us this question before! However,
documentation in the Firebird Project is covered by the Public
    Documentation License.

We should raise the specific issue of screenshots with the Project
Admins; but I cannot think of any reason why your screenshots would
not be covered generically by the PDL, which you can read here:

    http://www.firebirdsql.org/manual/pdl.html

Thank you for taking the trouble to inquire.

    regards,
    Helen Borrie
    Secretary, Firebird Foundation
