Still unavailable. I opened a ticked (TS-1066) a few days ago, no
reaction. I would install this by hand if the dependencies weren't so
inconvienient (boost::python, exiv2)

This kills my bot that automatically extracts GPS data and inserts
location templates for images on commons. People seem to be missing
that service.
