[QA] no HTTPS on beta labs

HTTPS used to respond, but it would provide an invalid certificate, forcing
the user to confirm the navigation.  Now HTTPS seems to be gone altogether.

I'm not sure if this was deliberate or not, or even if it should be
changed, I haven't tried using HTTPS on beta in a really long time.
