[QA] Running tests depending on the branch/location

This post from a Mozilla Release Engineer on how they made their testing
infrastructure aware of the version of Firefox probably won't help us
directly (testing an app is different than a site) but is probably worth
reading anyways due to it addressing the same type of problem we're
