I'm trying to get an university internal wiki to get running with MediaWiki
1.35 (current LTS), and to move from NodeJS-based Parsoid to PHP-based
Parsoid. The wiki is private, and behind a Shibboleth-based authentication
(implemented with
https://mediawiki.org/wiki/Extension:PluggableAuth and
https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Extension:Shibboleth_Authentication).
However, I can't get past "Error contacting the Parsoid/RESTBase server
(HTTP 404)" error.
My current VE-related config:

I tried to allow read/write access for the server's public and loopback IP,
but that didn't unbreak visualeditor. I also skip Shibboleth configuration
if the request comes from the server itself.
The wiki is hosted as HTTPS-only, I'm not sure whether that causes any
issues.
Also note I use $wgHTTPProxy, as the server doesn't have direct access to
the internet.
Any help would be appreciated.
