[MediaWiki-l] Still having this issue: Error: Module:Navbar:25: bad argument #1 to 'sub' (string expected, got nil)

Error: Module:Navbar:25: bad argument #1 to 'sub' (string expected, got
nil)

any tips on what is causing this. I thought maybe Lua but so far can not
confirm that.
seems to be occurring in several navbar templates.
