[Mediawiki-l] latex pngs are created correctly in images/tmp but not moved to images/math/x/y/z

Hi,

I have a problem with mediawiki 1.15.1 on ubuntu lynx with apache 2. The Latex png rendering stopped working. So far I could find out that texvc works fine and creates the correct png at images/tmp but then the png is not moved to its correct location
images/math/x/y/z where xyz are the first hexdigits of the hash key.

All folders are owned by www-data and chmodded 777.

Any ideas?
