I personally feel aware of being a bit absent from mailing lists.
One reason is I've felt a little unsure about how much it is preferrable
to poll the lists, since my updates have not required much direct
questions so far. So this kept me update my blog mainly.
Anyway, seems clear that "posting too much" is not the problem right now
:) , and I'd love to have people keeping an eye of what is happening,
testing out things themselves etc, so I'll be happy to post regular
updates on the lists, if that helps to this end.
Find my status update page at:
http://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/User:SHL/GSoC2010/Status
(currently just linking my blog, twitter etc)
(Hope to write up a status wrap-up very soon)
Cheers

There has been a little chatter on IRC about the lack
of communication, and
I'll accept some of the blame for letting things go on autopilot for a
little while. The good news is that there is status information if you know
where to look, but much of the communication is not in the form that
longstanding community members are used to. So, students and mentors,
please by all means pester us here on this mailing list and jump onto
#mediawiki on IRC when you can, and link your status pages on
mediawiki.orgto your preferred means of providing mass updates.
