[Mediawiki-l] url(Cursor) control problem

I'm able to use CSS to control wiki page cursors with this syntax,

<span style="cursor:crosshair;">wiki text</span>

but not this,

<span style="cursor:url(http://domain/images/cursorfile.png),
crosshair;">wiki text</span>

which works in the same browser at this page,
http://www.w3schools.com/CSS/tryit.asp?filename=trycss_cursor

Suggestions?
