If you are Sysop or if your wiki has the Extension:Interwiki [1] activated for you, you can add an Interwiki link like


wikisearch (example)  = 
http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Special%3ASearch&fulltext=Search&search=$1 
(example)
and use [[wikisearch:foo|fulltext search for "foo"]] on your pages
