[Mediawiki-l] username with an @

Hi, (another question)

Are usernames with an "@" in it not supported?

The admin user - bureaucrat - can change user right. First I have to 
search for the username. If the username contains an "@" - it is his/her 
email address - it not available.

I am not able to change userright for "other wikis' users" (translated 
from the german message).
