[Mediawiki-l] Math error

I recently restored my db from a dump to a new server. When I tried to
enable math after the whole ordeal I get this error on any page with <math>
tags in it:

A database query syntax error has occurred. This may indicate a bug in the
software. The last attempted database query was:

(SQL query hidden)

from within function "MathRenderer::_recall". MySQL returned error "1267:
Illegal mix of collations (latin1_swedish_ci,IMPLICIT) and
(utf8_general_ci,COERCIBLE) for operation '=' (localhost)".


I also get that error if I create a new page with <math> tags.

How can I fix this?
