[Mediawiki-l] Hang on mysql deadlock

Hello,


Sometimes after edit of long page I am getting the following error:

"Lock wait timeout exceeded; try restarting transaction"

and I can't use the wiki any more.


Only mysqld resrart  everything returns to normal.


I would like to know if there is a way of preventing this from happening.

Using MediaWiki 1.6.12
