[Mediawiki-l] Go directly to Main Page

I have some users of a wiki who find it confusing that, after logging
in, find themselves on the "Login successful" page.  They would rather
end up on the Main Page.  I was thinking of simply putting a redirect on
the "User successful" page to the Main Page, but I was wondering if
there is another way to specify which page a user who successfully logs
in goes to immediately after logging in.
