[Mediawiki-l] About the API : Backlinks from Template

Hi all,
I've a question about the API, I hope this is the right place to post this question. I already asked it on the talk page a few weeks ago but I got no answer:


I've been trying to use the API to find backlinks , but I cannot see how to retrieve all the pages using a given Template.

First example "What are the pages linked to Einstein" ?
    * http://en.wikipedia.org/w/api.php?action=query&list=backlinks&bltitle=Albert_Einstein&bllimit=500&format=xml&blnamespace=0

OK, works fine.

Now "What are the pages using the Template:Infobox_Scientist" ?
    * http://en.wikipedia.org/w/api.php?action=query&list=backlinks&bltitle=Template:Infobox_Scientist&bllimit=500&format=xml&blnamespace=0

Hum, it returns no data; And (no namespace)

    * http://en.wikipedia.org/w/api.php?action=query&list=backlinks&bltitle=Template:Infobox_Scientist&bllimit=500&format=xml
returns a few 'Talks' pages but I expected much more pages:

I expected to see all the pages here  http://en.wikipedia.or/wiki/Special:WhatLinksHere/Template:Infobox_Scientist


Is it a bug ? I'm I wrong  ?
