[Mediawiki-l] Changing User: URL link

Thanks but surely the redirect would be needing both the user name and the
user id?

i.e. I try to hit domain/com/wiki/User:Paul it would need to know that
Paul=3 and redirect to domain.com/user/3

Not sure is I am making myself clear.

I think the solution from Alexis is fine but I need to differentiate between
the User: and Log Out links, changing only the former.
