There is a real push back on the idea of any "protection" as MW is
designed with Wikipeida and the other Wiki* projects in mind.
There are some extensions available which add a level of *security* ...
BUT you must know that security is in the mind of the beholder. If
someone has a basic level of connection to your system it is possible
that they can hack into other bits (you can't stop and dishonest person
.. only keep an honest person honest :)
Take a look at the extension pages and see if there is something there
that will work. I believe I remember seeing something like that
available.

Subject: Re: [Mediawiki-l] Only article authors can edit their articles
Well, I need a combination of functionalities - somethings may/need to
be edited by all, but some - only by the correspondent creators.
Do you mean that the current MediaWiki doesn't support such a behavior?

"How do I make MediaWiki not be a wiki?"
It sounds like MediaWiki is the wrong tool for your purposes.

Is it possible to setup Mediwiki so that only a person who creates an
article to be able to edit that corresponding article and that it is
locked for others?
