I guess the possibility for wildcard search would be nice if it were integrated
into the default install.
But the extension needed for that is - thankfully - not nearly as difficult to
install as the lucene- or sphinx-extension...

Offhand, the split between title and text searches is a bit odd, but the
only really "bad" thing is that MySQL's search engine by default
excludes short and common words.
