Change $wgSitename.
Also, if your meta namespace was warcraftwiki,
then
you'll probably want to move all pages in the "Warcraftwiki:" namespace
to
the "Gameswiki:" namespace, and
presumably there will be other
references
lying around in article texts that you'll
want to change. I don't know
of
any magical way to do this effortlessly, although
a bot or the
moveBatch.phpmaintenance script might be helpful if you've got a ton
of pages to move.
Wrong. Namespaces are not stored with the titles, so you only
need to
set NS_PROJECT to the new name. You may also want to keep the previous
one as an alias, as all links referring to that removed namespace would
became broken.
Whoa, I totally did not realize that. (*Mea culpa stultissima*, to continue
the trend.) I don't remember it being that way the last time I changed wiki
names. ;o
Anyway, for replacements in text, I would use the Python Wikipedia bot <
http://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Using_the_python_wikipediabot> to do the
replacements live with its replace.py script in particular <
http://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Replace.py>gt;. I'm sure DPL works just as
fine, though (but I think the bot is neat).
Don't lose heart! You might have to spend an evening puzzling through
whatever method you choose, but then you'll get to be very pleased with
yourself for having done it.
