Correct. You can try the conversion script mediawiki_mysql2postgres here:

http://svn.wikimedia.org/svnroot/mediawiki/trunk/phase3/maintenance/postgres/mediawiki_mysql2postgres.pl

That should get everything, although it's not as foolproof as the 
XML transfer. Let me know if you run into problems with it: it may need 
some updating.
