[Mediawiki-l] Using Lucene Search

Hi there,

I tried to understand how to get the Lucene search enginge running with my 
own mediawiki
on an windows PC but I have to admit that I did not get to far.
What I found was

http://schmidt.devlib.org/software/lucene-wikipedia.html
http://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Installing_lucene_search

but both sources are not to easy to follow (at least for me).

Does anybody know where to find some more (easy) hints on how to implemend 
Lucene in mediawiki?
