[Mediawiki-l] Search index disregards swedish characters

Hi all,

I just rebuilt the search index of my Swedish data with the 
rebuildtextindex.php script and noticed that when searching on Swedish 
characters I will never find any matches. How disappointing... How can 
this be?

I use MW1.9.3, and MYSIAM with latin1_bin on the searchindex table.

Do I have to set some specifc settings somewhere in order to get non 
English characters properly indexed?
