[Mediawiki-l] Minor edit checkbox does not appear after upgrade

Dear experts and users,

after upgrading from 1.5.8 to 1.6.10 (yes, I know, it's also outdated, 
but I'm not using PHP5), there is no check box "only minor edit" anymore.

The upgrade itself went surprisingly easy and no problems occurred.
I'm just looking for an idea to get that checkbox back, when editing an 
article.

Using the german localisation. In "Specialpages:AllMessages" the 
messagetext is given. In /languages/MessagesDE.PHP the text for minoredit 
is given. 

Any hints for me? Thanks in advance....
