[Mediawiki-l] Email problem with Mediawiki

Hi,

I tested MW 193 in my Windows machine and mail notification was working fine. After I ported it to linux, watchlist pages are not notified through email. In the same linux machine I have another instance of Apache and PHP 4.3.10 running in which mail is working fine (Moodle,etc.). Our mail server is a Windows Exchange server. Interestingly, on the Windows machine, while clicking the "Send me a confirmation email", it was saying "Mail could not be sent", but actually it was sending the mail. But now with my linux, it's saying "Mail sent"- but no mail is actually received. How can I track down the problem? How can I be sure of whether the php 5.2.2 which I use with MW is capable of sending mails?
