[Mediawiki-l] Downloading content of a MediaWiki?

How do I download the entire current text content (no images, no page
histories) of a MediaWiki that I don't own/administer?

I know about Special:Export, but that requires a list of specific
pages and doesn't accept "*" as a wild card.

I could combine Special:Allpages and Special:Export with a script or
something somehow, but is there a better way?
