[Mediawiki-l] E-mail ALL users easily?

I just installed it, and I can get to the MassMailer Special page.
However, I get the following error:

"Warning: mysql_fetch_array(): supplied argument is not a valid MYSQL
result resource in: ...\includes\SpecialMassMailer.php on line 62"

I did not edit the code. Here is line 62:
while(($assoc=mysql_fetch_array($result))) 
	{
   		$wgOut->addHTML("<option selected=\"selected\"
value=\"".$assoc[1]."\">".$assoc[0]."</option>");
       }

Also, what appears to be the block for the e-mail addresses on the left
is blank.
