Hi,
is there an overview on how the content of the different tables in mediawiki
are interlinked (e.g. Users to groups)?

MediaWiki will create various references to the user's
identifier all
over the database, so doing this isn't a good idea if the user has
created or edited pages, or caused log entries to be created, etc.
If you need to prevent access to a user account, block it
indefinitely. If the account has *none* of the above entries (and
would show up in maintenance/removeUnusedAccounts.php's report mode),
then it's safe to delete them from the user table.
Always make a backup of your database before manipulating it in this
fashion, especially when the consequences are not clearly defined, as
in this case.
