[Mediawiki-l] Installing new wiki on an old DB

Oops... I wrote a subject which was not correct...

I'll try again:

It's a simple question that might have been asked before: what should I do
in order to install a new wiki on my server, 1.7.1, but one that reads its
data from a DB of a previous version of an older wiki I had on a different
subdomain, but on the same server? (The old version was 1.6.1)

I believe it IS possible... am I right?
