Great, will try this out, are there any issues of the new wiki overwriting the existing
tables? If not I assume the "setup" process is skipped.. yes?

Yes it will work. You just have to provide the same DB name, DB username
and DB password.
And then set the URLs properly, especially if you are using 'clean URLs'.
(which can be done in various ways)
